HumeLink West Project

The Humelink project is a once-in-a-generation investment in Australia’s high voltage transmission network and is planned to support the transition to a low emissions generation portfolio. This project is a critical part of AEMO’s ISP, connecting a new 500 kV transmission link through Wagga Wagga, Bannaby and Maragle to the existing transmission network, and supporting large scale renewable energy generation.

Humelink will reinforce Transgrid’s transmission network in southern NSW to improve the flow of electricity from new generation sources in southern and western NSW to major demand centres in the State, and to customers across the NEM (National Energy market).

The project will be delivered under two separate Contract Packages – Humelink East and Humelink West. Humelink East and Humelink West will join and integrate to form HumeLink, and enable the Project to operate safely, reliably, and efficiently as part of Transgrid’s network and the NEM as a whole.

UGL and CPB has been contracted to deliver the Humelink West package.

As a subcontractor to UGL and CPB, you are to complete all Workforce Management requirements detailed under ‘Let’s Get Started’ below.

All subcontractors to the UGL/CPB JV will receive an invitation by email to complete registration of their workers into Transgrid’s Avetta portal.

We suggest you read through the instructions and give yourself time to source the information needed to work for Transgrid. Your administrators will complete this process for your business and each worker.

If your business is already registered as a direct contractor to Transgrid, you may login to the system via Pegasus Gateway, and follow the instructions below to register your Workers and ensure each employee is site-ready for this project.

Important Note: As a subcontractor to UGL and CPB, you are not required to complete the company pre-qualification process for Transgrid.

When must a subcontractor complete the company prequalification process in Avetta

If you are also a Delivery Partner that works directly for Transgrid OR a subcontractor on one of Transgrid’s project sites, assets or facilities you will be required to register your company and complete the Transgrid Pre-Qualification process via Avetta.

Video and document user guides can be found from the Help and Resources page.
