Stage 2: Register Your Workers (click to expand instructions)

Step 1 > Login and add workers

From the Connect system, select the Workers tile in the left-hand menu, then select Pegasus Workforce.

If you don’t immediately see the Transgrid tile, click on the Add or Remove Portals and select the Transgrid tile.

Select selecting Manage Roles and then Add New Employee. From here you can enter and save their personal contact details, address, phone and email.

If a worker is already a registered cardholder, you may proceed to Step 3 to select their site and role for this project.

Step 2 > Pay for worker registration and contractor card

Pay for your worker’s registration and order their contractor cards to work for Transgrid.

    • Year 1 costs $90 + GST per worker for the management of roles, verification of documents, inductions and supply of card.
    • Year 2 costs $45 + GST per worker.

A tax invoice will be supplied on payment.

Step 3 > Select site and roles

Go to Manage Roles and select the worker’s name, then select Add Site to associate your worker to one of the below sites;

      • If they are working on any Transgrid site or project, select Transgrid External Contractor and the relevant project site (if available)
      • If they work directly for Ausgrid, Essential Energy or Snowy select Transgrid ESI Partners
      • If they work for the facilities management delivery partner BGIS, select Transgrid – Facilities Management

You will then select Add New Role. Depending on the site selected, the worker will be auto-assigned roles that are mandatory for that site.

      • Working directly for Transgrid – If your people are working directly for Transgrid on a project where Transgrid is the Principal Contractor, minor projects or maintenance contracts they must apply the role – HSE Compliance – Working directly for Transgrid and complete a 30-minute induction every 2 years.
      • Procured Services Role – All Delivery Partners with workers who access Transgrid’s corporate systems and/or requiring a Transgrid email must have the role – Procured Services Resource added to their profile. On submission, the worker will be issued eLearning that must be completed prior to requesting access to our corporate systems or Transgrid email.

You may be required to assign other roles to your workers profiles, including:

      • Mobile Plant Operator role/s
      • Power System Safety Rules and Environmental Authorisations
      • Trade roles

If you are unsure what roles you need to apply for each worker, please contact your Transgrid representative.

Step 4 > Upload documents and/or book training

Your role selections will determine the competency documents (licences, cards and qualifications) which you will need to upload in the system to prove your worker can perform the chosen role/s. Avetta will validate the documents you have uploaded during the registration of your workers.

Some role selections will initiate a training action to satisfy the competency requirements. Training may comprise of eLearning and/or classroom training. If classroom training is required, you will be able to book a public course or contact training@transgrid.com.au to organise a session.
